13th national day of government commitment against the human trafficking and controlling smuggling at Pokhara, Kaski district.

Participated the 13^th national day of government commitment against the human trafficking and controlling smuggling is our responsibility. In the program there was involvement of different government and non government organization, civil society, media, advocate and stakeholders. The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has appealed all to organise the programs for a week marking the 13th national day against human trafficking and controlling smuggling is our responsibility. All people gathered there and started a moment showing pumplets. The rally was started from Zero km to Prithvi Chowk kaski, pokhara.  When we went at Prithvi-Chowk and all the people were gathered in front of district traffic police office in kaski, pokhara.

                    

September 6 is observed as a national day against human trafficking marking the endorsement of the SAARC convention against trafficking of women and girls, 2002 by the parliament on the day in 2063 B.S.

                 

The program was started by welcoming to all the people. Then Shakti Samuaha showed social dramatic program in the road about the human trafficking. The road show program was for providing proper information, knowledge and education about the human trafficking. In the program they described how the women faced human trafficking. The show was giving the knowledge about the human trafficking. At end program Mrs. Nardevi pun described about the human trafficking also advised people to organize the awareness programs about the human trafficking and smuggling which can help to solve the human trafficking problem as well as smuggling too.

                    

The program is very effective. In the program child also participate.  Human trafficking is a serious problem of Nepal. So, government must be worked seriously on this topic. Day by day human trafficking is increase for various purposes like forced labor, slavery, removal of organs and sex slavery, Sexual exploitation, or sex trafficking. Government must be organized different awareness program in the rural area. The government must give priority in solving and eliminating the human trafficking.

We visited in good neighbor service association (GONESA) with our focal person Ms. Sabnam Sharma, and we fk fellow Anu, and me ( ganga). It is located in damside Marga ,Birauta kaski, pokhara. The GONESA worked at 5 Districts (Kaski, Syangja, Tanahun, Gorkha and Prabat). We met the Mr. shiva poudel. They shared how they started the organization. They worked from street children collaborating with CWIN.  There are total 69 staff members.

The GONESA have own house to the children. Generally they stay there for 2 years. They give training on sanitation and gives free medical treatment. They collaborate with the Manipal Hospital for check-up. They collaborate with 75 schools for giving scholarship and also provide the creativity training to the children's. It specially focuses on marginalized people of kaski, pokhara. During the earthquake they maintain school for 3 years in Gorkha. They support financially some amount of money to the school during the earthquake in Nepal.

 It is a non- profitable and non government organization which established in 1998. It is registered in kaski District. GONESA has been implemented various projects in association with VISPE Italy, Intervita Italy, European Union, National youth opportunity federation, care Nepal, UN volunteer and local government to uplift the lives of children women and marginalized community. It has focused on quality education, early childhood development, health and sanitation, climate change adaptation and livelihood. GONESA maintains coordination and collaboration and marginalized community.

The vision of GNOSEA is to make healthy and prosperous society which ensures basic human rights, livelihood opportunity to all citizens of society regardless of gender, geographical area, and caste, religious and political believes.

The mission of GONESA is to promote human rights for respected and dignified life. To fight against all forms of suppression, atrocities, inequalities, discrimination and injustice and focus on holistic development approach like human development with economic, cultural spiritual advancement with physical development with all basic facilities.

The goal of GONESA is to assists the development process by carrying out advocacy, awareness and providing services on education, health, livelihood enhancement and capacity development to socially and economically marginalized groups primarily focusing on youth, children and women.

 As, we all know that our women's big festival called dar khaney in that occasion of that the GONESA also organized the program for all ladies. They invite us in the program. So, we saw all staff wears sari and looks beautiful.  Then the program was started by welcoming all the beautiful ladies. They gave gift to all ladies. Then floor was open for dance. All ladies went for danced. and we also danced there.Then we get refreshment by eating lots of delicious food.

The program was so good. We enjoyed a lot. I want to say thank you to all the GONESA staff for invite us. Now, I absolutely know how they are working supporting helping the children and women.  I did not have any idea how they worked before. I learned how it worked.
