The program was organized by INSEC of Gandaki pardesh in Teeka resort.
The program was about the civil and political rights. In the program the
participated are from different organization like government, non- government,
media and advocacy. In the program there was around 50 people are participated.
The program was opening by Mr.shiva khakurel by welcoming all the
participation. And said that still there was also research problems. Government
should serious on the problem which is arising on civil and political rights
and help to find the solution. And he discuss about civil rights.
Second session was a presentation of Ms. Samjha shrestha. She shared the
history of civil and political rights.
Mrs. Bina silwal is from Kopila Nepal of gandaki pardesh. She said that civil
and political rights for her are new. So, she was interested in this program.
She shared that education, food, and housing is very important in our life. Now
a day's women violence is increasing so, government and other non government
organization focused to control such violence. And she said that dalit people
are still back. Avoid the negative
thought. Encourage the youth people.
Mr. Rohit Raj bastola is from high court of gandaki pardesht. He
discussed on civil and political rights topics. He said that, first we
should proper use of our rights. Government give equal rights to all people
but they did not use. There was a positive side but always people talks about
negative. Now a day's poison vegetables are increasing. Our civil right is to
have a healthy food.
Mr. Chakra Bahadur Budha is a CDO of gandaki pardesh. He said that
improvement of political parties. Only making law is not important but also
important how to implement them. "We saw road side children. Now a
day's increasing rape. Government gives facility to the pregnant women to check
of their health. We have natural resources but we did not properly uses. The
government should give awareness program to the village people."
Mr. Hari bahadur is a minister of law of gandaki pardesh. He focuses on
three words that are protection, use
and development. When making the law civil also care about intervene.
Mr. Dhan bahadur karki is SP of gandaki pardesh. He talks about civil
and political rights, economic and social rights and environment rights. He
shared about the problems of police station. He talks about problem they faced
in prison. In the prison male and female stay different place. He said that
justice system and security system is not given more priority. In the prison
they always attendance of prisoner and they had made a team leader. Now a day's torture rate is decrease.
Then after Advocate Ms. Bidhya Chapagain. The presentation was about the
Universal Periodic Review.
Then after there was a group works with all participation. In the group
work participated are divided into four groups.
Mr. Mohan parshad regime shared
that human rights did great job so, we did not work against it. We had also
responsibility towards human right organization. He also talks about the
transportation and political parties of Nepal. Civil people are fight for their
rights.
Mr. Deepak dhoj jung karki is a director of human rights organization of
gandaki pardesh. He talks about the enquiry system and communication system. He
shared that organization always did proper interrogation, documentation and
proper reporting.
At last program was ended by Mr. Shri Ram Bajgai. He shared about human
rights situation of individual people. Government should focus to protection
the individual rights.
